Important update! OpenBookCase 2.0 is finally coming!!

Dear all.

For many years now, I’ve been promising you that OpenBookCase would be rewritten from the ground up. However, time, enthusiasm, low energy, and illness have repeatedly set me back.

But now, finally, the time has come, and OpenBookCase 2.0 is in the starting blocks. There are still a few minor issues to iron out, but the project is 99% complete.

It comes with new features such as accessibility information, up to 5 photos per entry, watchlists/favorites, wish lists, dark mode, home location, display of distance from current location, and much more.

Almost everything should be ready, and only minor bugs—especially on mobile devices—are popping up, but those are currently being fixed.

The database on the new page is the current state of OpenBookCase.de with some additions from other sources. When it's ready to be published on the original domain, I'll grab a fresh state from OpenBookCase.de. So every new addition or change on the test installation will be gone when the new page is officially online!
That means, the source of truth is still this page here, not the new one!!
